The challenge
The client needed around 200 tonnes of galvanized steel coil and kept landing on trading companies rather than the mill. Every quote came with a margin on top, and from abroad there was no reliable way to tell a real producer from a reseller.
On a first order of this size, the bigger worry was paying a large balance for coil they had never seen — to a supplier they couldn't verify.

We searched Chinese-language channels and our own network to get past the traders and reach a mill that produces galvanized coil to the client's spec.

Our team visited the plant, walked the galvanizing line, and confirmed it was a genuine producer — not an office re-selling someone else's output.

We quoted and negotiated in Mandarin at the factory directly, so the price reflected domestic mill rates without a middleman's markup.

Coils were checked against the agreed spec before the balance was paid, so the client only released the final payment once the goods were confirmed.
