Silk Way Sourcing was founded in 2019 in Beijing by a team that had already spent years buying directly from Chinese factories. Today we vet suppliers across metals, solar and energy storage, fiber optics, and industrial goods — more than 340 suppliers verified in person.
We exist because importing from China is full of avoidable risk — traders posing as factories, quality surprises, and shipments that get stuck at customs. We remove that risk by handling the entire chain ourselves: search, verification, inspection, and delivery.

Meet Arkadii, the person behind Silk Way Sourcing
Founder · 10+ years in China
Behind every project is a real person who lives in China and works directly with suppliers every day.
Silk Way Sourcing was founded by Arkadii, an entrepreneur from Ukraine with over 10 years of living and working in China and more than 8 years of hands-on experience in the local market. He personally built the network of trusted manufacturers and set up the sourcing, quality-control, and logistics processes the company runs on today.
What began as a small operation grew naturally. Over the years his focus expanded well beyond simply finding products: he built long-term relationships with factories, learned how to verify suppliers, negotiate fair terms, control quality, and manage logistics end to end. That experience turned into a full-scale sourcing and support business — from supplier search and verification to production management and complete coordination.
Today Arkadii still lives in China and stays deeply involved in day-to-day operations. He understands local business culture, speaks the language of the manufacturers, and knows how things actually work on the ground. This is not a “middleman from a distance” model — it is a business built from inside the market, by someone who is there every day.
That approach shapes the whole company: practical, transparent, and relationship-driven. Clients don't work with an abstract brand — they work with a real person who has spent years building trust, experience, and a reliable network in China.

Arkadii founded Silk Way Sourcing in 2019 after more than ten years living and working in China. With 8+ years in sourcing and fluent Mandarin, he leads supplier negotiations and factory audits, and is based full-time in Beijing.

Head of Operations & CTO
Dmitry runs day-to-day operations and the company's technology. He keeps quotes, inspections, and shipments moving on schedule and is the client's main point of contact from first enquiry to final delivery.
Andy Wang
Logistics & Compliance Manager
Andy manages freight, customs documentation, and compliance. A native Mandarin speaker, he coordinates shipments from the factory gate to your destination port and handles export paperwork end to end.
